This Privacy Policy explains how SciOne Corp. (doing business as SciOne AI) ("SciOne", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website (www.scione.ai), use our cloud-based platform, or interact with SciOne hardware products. It also explains your choices and rights.

For business customers, the Customer Agreement at https://www.scione.ai/customer-agreement governs how we handle Customer Data you upload to the platform, and supplements this Policy where applicable.

1. Who We Are

SciOne Corp. (d/b/a SciOne AI) provides cloud-based laboratory management software and hardware solutions for B2B customers in life sciences, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors. We are incorporated in Delaware and headquartered at 1200 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3005, Short Hills, NJ 07078.

2. Information We Collect

Account & Identity	Name, job title, business email, company name, billing address — collected when you register or place an order.
Usage & Log Data	IP address, browser type, pages visited, features used, session duration, access logs — collected automatically when you use our platform or website.
Customer Data	All data, records, and content you or your users upload to the SciOne platform (e.g., lab workflow data, equipment records). Content varies by customer.
Hardware Telemetry	Equipment power consumption and electrical current data transmitted by SciOne hardware devices.
Payment Information	Billing name, address, and payment method details. Card numbers are processed by our payment provider — we do not store them.
Communications	Messages and inquiries you send us via email, support tickets, or web forms.

We collect information directly from you when you register or contact us; automatically through the platform and hardware; and occasionally from business partners or resellers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Providing the Services: to operate accounts, deliver features, process orders, and support you.
Billing and payments: to manage subscriptions, charge fees, and handle payment disputes.
Communications: to send order confirmations, service updates, security alerts, and responses to your inquiries.
Product improvement: to understand how the platform is used, fix issues, and build new features — using aggregated or anonymized data, not your identifiable Customer Data.
Security and fraud prevention: to detect and prevent unauthorized access and abuse of our platform.
Legal and compliance: to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, and enforce our agreements.
Marketing: to send newsletters or product news to contacts who have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Sharing Your Information

4.1 Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the platform. These vendors only use your information to perform services for us and are contractually required to protect it. Our vendors fall into these categories:

Cloud infrastructure: hosting and data storage on major cloud platforms with established security practices.
Payment processing: PCI DSS-compliant processors; we do not store card numbers.
Customer support tools: ticketing and CRM systems for managing support requests.
Analytics and monitoring: tools for understanding platform performance using aggregated or pseudonymized data.

4.2 Business Transfers

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SciOne, our customers, or the public. We will notify you when possible.

4.4 No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

Account & Identity	For the life of your account, plus 3 years after closure (or as required by law).
Customer Data	For the duration of your subscription. After termination, we keep it for 30 days for export, then securely delete it.
Usage & Log Data	Up to 24 months for operational purposes; longer in aggregated form.
Hardware Telemetry	Up to 24 months in identifiable form; longer in aggregated or anonymized form.
Payment Records	As required by accounting and tax laws (typically 7 years).
Communications	Up to 5 years for support history.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Our security practices include:

Encryption in transit: data between your browser or devices and our platform is encrypted using TLS.
Encryption at rest: data stored on our infrastructure is encrypted at rest.
Access controls: we limit access to personal data to employees and contractors who need it to do their jobs, using role-based permissions.
Vulnerability management: we regularly review and update our systems and software to address known security issues.
Incident response: we maintain procedures to detect, respond to, and notify customers of security incidents. If we discover a breach that materially affects your data, we will notify you without undue delay.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:

Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion: request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Portability: receive your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format.
Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting contact@scione.ai.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@scione.ai. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 days). For enterprise customers, most rights relating to Customer Data can be exercised directly through your administrator account.

8. Cookies

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are for businesses and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have done so, please contact us at contact@scione.ai and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on our website or sending an email to the account holder at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Services after that date means you accept the updated Policy.
